Katie has a passion for crafting exceptional experiences and products, but what truly drives her in product management is the opportunity to collaborate with and serve people. Her journey into product management involved navigating two career transitions, initially starting as a non-profit marketer and researcher before making the switch to a front-end developer.
Having experienced the challenges of breaking into the tech industry firsthand, Katie understands the significance of having a mentor and advocate. As a former front-end development instructor and mentor, she has witnessed these challenges from both perspectives — as someone who entered tech later in their career and as an advocate for others. Katie recognizes the profound impact supportive and meaningful feedback can have on one's career. There is nothing that brings her greater joy than paying forward the guidance that made a difference in her own career.
As a Mentor, Katie dedicates her time and expertise to guide aspiring product managers, designers, and developers. Committing 3-4 hours per week over an 8-week period for the Bootcamp and 7-9 hours for the entire Sprint program.
