Co.Laborators have said...
Taking the class with others means that I can learn and share at the same time. Having those pauses to share and learn by doing is really helpful for me.
Dominic
I love the freedom to move at your own pace as a group so we can truly understand what's going on before moving forward compared to a live class where it's just go go go!
Alaina
What I like the most is learning live with a group of people. It's really great to hear from different perspectives and personalities.
Daniel
Co.Lab does a very good job of taking the best of in-person classes and applying that to an online format through conversations with people in a moment in time while learning is happening.
Juliet
I like that I get to stay engaged. It's fun taking courses with someone else and knowing that you are accountable to others. It felt like a game but it was a learning environment.
Karo
It feels more personal in a small group compared to a large zoom class where everyone has their camera's off and is disengaged.
Bethlehem
I have the chance to collaborate and ask questions to my peers which helps me assimilate what I'm learning better. There is no feeling that you're being left behind or lost in class.
Kerha
You have other people who are also going through the class and you can bounce ideas off each other & ask questions without the pressure of the instructor present which makes it a comfortable space.
Ipsita
It's a hybrid solution to self-paced online learning because you also have others with you which helps with the motivation to take the courses at the scheduled time.
Irene
I'm not just learning by myself but also learning with others and getting their perspective and what they've gathered from the class. Because it's a smaller setting, I learn better that way.
Wendy

This 4-week cohort-based course is for Complete Beginners, Junior PMs or APMs, as well as Hands-on Learners in general.
Maybe you've heard about Product Management but don't know where to begin. Or you're already in Product Management, but want to take your ideation, research and spec skills to the next level while learning about industry best practices. Either way, you're a hands-on learner. You're not looking for a step-by-step article... you want to speak to actual users, and learn Product strategy with a community of like-minded peers. That's what you'll get to do with Co.Lab's Product Management Sprint Program.
This program requires around 2-5 hours of solo & group work per week, for the entirety of the 4-week experience.
There is a live kick-off on the Monday of the cohort starting, and a live celebration party on the Friday of Week 4.
You'll get access to 8+ classes, taught by the Co.Lab team along with industry Product Managers from places like Amazon and Microsoft. Along with curated resources and a community and cohort of like-minded PMs, you'll get dedicated feedback for your project and spec submission from industry mentors.
Yes! You may find that after going through the ideation and documentation stage, you want to take hands-on learning to the next level. You're ready to work to build out your idea with a Designer and Developers!
At that point we can work with you to enroll and integrate into Co.Lab's 8-week online Product Management bootcamp. A bundled pricing discount can be applied.
The Co.Lab Product Management online bootcamp is beginner-friendly, though best suited for those with at least 1-2 years of experience in leadership settings and/or professional working experience. You should already know about the Product Management role, though no prior formal experience or training is required.
You do not need to have prior experience with specific product management training or product management certification, as we will take you from 0 --> 1!
Most importantly - you're someone who wants the hands-on experience beyond just the theory. You're looking for practical PM experience, and you're ready for the challenge. You want to go out to speak to users, lead a real cross-functional team, and get past the inevitable challenges.
If you prefer a classic classroom environment with live lectures and case studies, Co.Lab's Product Management bootcamp may not be the right fit for you.
Co.Lab's Product Management online bootcamp will require at minimum 15-20 hours per week, for the entirety of the 8-week program.
There is a mix of live, pre-scheduled classes, as well as online content you can take at your own place. You'll also need to make time to work with your team and meet with your Product Mentor, however that is up to you all to decide. As part of our Product Management bootcamp, there will be weekly submissions to keep you on track, which is reviewed by your Product Mentor.
Just like we've said, we're not your traditional bootcamp! In terms of what your team builds... you all would know best.
During the bootcamp, you will decide for yourselves what to build, work collaboratively to find actual users, and determine actual customer pain points. Check out Project Portfolios to get inspiration from previous students.
By not enforcing templated or boilerplate projects, we believe this will allow you to flex your own creativity and passions. You can then show that off during product management interviews, or as part of your product resume. We believe that this works best.
The product managers, designers and developers you’ll be working with are also like-minded, motivated techies looking to grow in their careers. You’ll be navigating the Co.Lab journey together. As part of your bootcamp experience, we'll match you on a team based on your teamwork style, previous work or product experience, interests, and other logistics.
Don't think of Co.Lab as a class or just an online bootcamp. It is a real-world experience that simulates the work environment as closely as can be. It's not always a smooth ride (just ask some previous students!). However, if you want to do product, you have to build product. We want you to try it out for yourself, in the low-stakes and supportive environment that you'll get through Co.Lab.
If you’re looking for a challenge and to truly stand out from the crowd with cross-functional product experience, we'd love to have you apply!
